An Astronaut Named Ace

lyrics

Traveling through space
An astronaut named Ace
Found something strange
A great wormhole
An artifact of some event
long ago

He witnessed the birth and death of stars
He experienced heavens near and far
He could see three-hundred-and-sixty degrees
He felt like he touched eternity

As he journeyed even farther
Time broke down
And he dissolved
He was no more
But was aware
Of it yet

That’s when he reached the singularity
The realm of every possibility
From the nothing the everything is born
The great at-one-ment, now here, nowhere

Back on earth his kids await
The return of their dad some day
Ace remembers and starts to wake
“How long was I gone?”
“Sir, just a few minutes”

And when they pulled the IV from his hand
It all came rushing back
He was debriefed
And the data was collected
For the experiment

I am now 25 and just starting to get the hang of recording and producing quality sound. ... more
